I didn’t realize it’s been 2 weeks since my last blog post (although, when I think of it, it feels even longer). Oops!

I’ve been busy with work and studies and vacation (no need to tell you which of those was the nicest). And knitting, of course. Not as much as I would like to, but then again – isn’t that always the case? Is there such a thing as “enough knitting”? I don’t think so. :-)

Well, since my last post, winter has arrived. This is the view from my window today:

It’s chilly out there, -11C (I think that’s about 52F), but I plan on going for a walk later today. If I go up here the view should be very nice today.

So, what about knitting then? Well, with all this snow arriving I suddenly realized that I don’t have any mittens. Can’t have that! So I am knitting myself a pair of green mittens, using some of the leftover Araucania Nature Wool:

Just a very, very basic “recipe” for mittens, from inside my head. I think I’m going to embroider something on them, in red. We’ll see.

I’m thinking of making myself a pair of felted mittens after this, should be really nice and warm, don’t you think? The yarn that comes to mind is Noro Kureyon. That can be felted, right?

Okidoki, I better get workin’ so I can have at least the afternoon off. After all, it is Saturday. And it’s All Saints’ Day, so I’m going to visit my grandparents’ grave tonight and light candles.
